What is Ayurvedic Yoga Massage?
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM) is a wonderfully unique therapy that combines elements of a deep tissue oil massage with pressure point work, assisted (passive) yoga stretches, joint mobilisations and tractions.

AYM works to help you feel more centred, and to enable the energy to flow more freely through your body. It can alleviate muscle soreness, knots and tightness, and can help to soften the tissues and create suppleness around the joints. It can also assist in improving imbalances in our allignment and posture. The increase in circulation during the massage supports rejuvenation of the skin. Throughout the massage, I will draw attention to your breath which will support you to relax deeply, release any energy blockages or built up tension that your body is holding on to, leaving you feeling soothed.

Each massage is unique and is centred around your individual needs at the time of your treatment. In addition to massage oil and essential oils, your massage will include the use of calamus powder; a plant root traditionally used in ancient medicines. Calamus powder has natural exfoliating and detoxifying properties, and enables the oils used in the massage to effectively soak into your skin. Your massage takes place on a heated floor futon, which allows me the space I need to use my hands, elbows, feet and body weight to deliver a treatment that really is like nothing else.

Regular treatments allow us the time to focus positively on our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. By spending this vital time on our health, we will begin to see the benefits transfer into our daily lives, relationships and work.
