Booking, Payment & Cancellation
-
Bookings and payments are completed through our website. Most major credit and debit cards are accepted.
-
Full payment and completion of all booking forms are required at the time of booking to secure your place, prior to the commencement of any course.
-
All courses must be booked in advance due to limited places.
-
Cancellation within 21 days of the course start date or withdrawing during a course is classed as a cancellation and no refund for the course or remaining sessions of the course will be given. An alternative course may be offered, subject to availability.
-
Cancellations made outside of the 21 days will receive a full refund minus a £10.00 administrative fee.
-
Twins and triplets must have a booked place for each child in attendance on the course.
-
Each child that attends a course must be accompanied by the same parent or caregiver at every session.
-
Whilst Birch Holistics / Baby Birch will endeavour to run the courses and sessions as scheduled, we reserve the right to amend dates, times, location, or classes at any time.
-
Should we need to cancel due to safety concerns (e.g. bad weather) or incidents beyond our control, parents will be notified/contacted as soon as possible using the contact information submitted at the time of booking. We also recommend that you follow Birch Holistics social media channels for updates.
-
We reserve the right to cancel a course if we have insufficient numbers; we require a minimum of (6 people) in the group. If this happens, we will offer you a place on a subsequent course or refund the course fee.
-
We understand that on occasion a session may be missed. Although we cannot offer a refund for missed sessions in any course, we will try our best to offer you a catch-up session on an alternative course, subject to availability.
Course Behaviour
-
As the parent/carer attending the course, you are responsible for the welfare of your child at all times during each session.
-
Our courses are baby led, which means that we encourage parents/carers to meet the needs of their babies as and when they arise. We want everyone to feel comfortable and at ease to do exactly what they need to do for their baby, when their baby needs it. So, if baby needs changing, we welcome you to change them. If baby needs feeding, we welcome you to feed them. If baby needs a rest or a nap, we welcome you to support them to do so. Our sessions aim to be relaxed, informative and social, so if baby isn’t being massaged, there will still be much to gain from attending. Supporting materials will be available at the end of each session so that you can practice the massage strokes and techniques; so please don’t worry if baby doesn’t stay on the mat for the whole session.
-
Siblings/additional adults can only attend if agreed with the instructor in advance of the session.
-
Should a parent/carer or associated visitor behave in a way that the instructor feels is unreasonable then we reserve the right to withdraw the provision of the course to the client.
-
All discussion content shared between attending parents/carers should be kept confidential.
Healthy Children & Adults
-
Parents are responsible for gaining GP or Consultant advice and clearance for baby massage if your child has had any illness, injury, disability, or special need prior to or during the course.
-
To help keep all babies and adults healthy, please only attend a session if both attendees are in good health. You should remain at home if they or you have had a fever, vomited, or had diarrhoea less than 48 hours before a session. Similarly, if you or they are exhibiting symptoms of contagious colds or communicable diseases such as Measles, Chicken Pox, German Measles, Whooping Cough, Impetigo, Scarlett Fever, Hand Foot & Mouth, Norovirus or COVID-19.
-
We reserve the right to refuse admittance to the session if the instructor feels that the attending adult or child is not in adequate health.
-
If Covid-19 restrictions means our face-to-face classes must be cancelled, all remaining sessions will be held online via Zoom.
Photos, Videos & Mobile Phone Use
-
We love you taking pictures or video clips of your child during the course, but please always seek permission from other parents/carers before including their or their child in any imagery and be sensitive to the rights of others. In addition, if the instructor feels that the amount of video is excessive, not just short clips, then you will be asked to stop.
-
From time to time, we may request to take photographs or shoot video during classes to use for marketing and promotional purposes, which may include, but is not limited to, use on social media, promotional materials, or our website. You will be asked at the time of booking and/or prior to the session when this takes place whether you consent to being included in these images or footage. Any images or footage will be stored and managed in relation to our Privacy Policy.
-
We ask that mobile phones are placed onto a silent setting during the course sessions and are only used for essential communication purposes. This enables everybody on the course to get the most out of each session.
